يعتبر علم الكيمياء واحداً من العلوم الطبيعية التي استعملها الإنسان وبحث فيها منذ القدم، وقد كان له الدور الكبير في العديد من المجالات التي تمسُّ حياة الإنسان بشكل مباشر وحيوي، كالمجلات الطبيه والصناعيه والزراعية بالاضافه الى تداخل العمل الكيميائي مع جميع العلوم الصرفة والتطبيقيه حيث كــان وما يزال علم الكيمياء يلعب الدور الأساسي في تقدم العديد من العلـــــــوم الأخرى بل البشريه جميعا .وفي وقتنا الحاضر ما زال لهذا العلم أهميته في التقدم الحضاري للدول في مجالات عديدة. لذلك من الواجب علينا نحن التدريسين المضي قدما واستخدام افضل السبل التي من الممكن ان تساهم في تخريج جيل جديد قادرعلى القيام بواجبه الوظيفي والمهني باكمل وجه.
