Mustansiriya discusses the draft law of political parties
 

The research unit for Human Rights at the Faculty of Law / Mustansiriya University in cooperation with the Department of Legal Studies at the House of Wisdom held a scientific symposium to discuss the draft law of  political parties  on Monday morning, 01 Oct 2012 at  Professor Diaa Aldin alSalhi's hall in the college, three research papers were presented at the symposium  of each  Dr. Hanan Mohamed Motlak, Dr. Ghassan Laibi Manati, Dr. Muhannad Diaa  Abdul Qadir in the presence of a number of professors and guests from outside the college and after extensive discussions about the law draft the symposium results in many  recommendations  including  :
1 - change law's title to (the law of parties) instead of   law of (political parties and organizations).
2 - Try to limit the number of political parties through useful measures .
3 -     to control it and grant external fund  Clearly pointing the sources of political parties' fund , necessity   .
4 - set minimum limits of  sanctions imposed on the parties breaching  the provisions of law.
