| Safaa Ne'amat Hussein,assistant teacher of environmental engineering dep. at college of engineering,Al mustansiriyah university and Dr.Kamel Jaber Salman in plant protection dep. , college of egriculture ,Baghdad university ,get a patent for their bio-product (Biomortal) which used to resist microbes that cause rot in the stalks and the roots of the plant .
The product was the appropriate alternative of chemical pesticides that cause backwardness of the adverse effects on the environment and human health ,it came with the growing idea of using environmentally friendly pesticide .It contained four types of developed root bacteria (Plant growth promoting rhizobacteria P G P R) that isolated from the Iraqi soil ;Enterococcus columbae,Kocuria rosea, Streptococcus thoraltensis and Sphingomonas paucimobilis which diagnosed for the first time in Iraq .
The experments proved the efficiency of this product in resisting the plant diseases deployed in the Iraqi soil.The results showed four types of fungus and the dominion of F.Solani fungus as well as the effectiveness of (Biomortal) .The product increased the growth signs of the plant represented by the wet and dry (Lowznin).* |
