| Dr.Mustafa Shakir Hashim ,a lecturer in physics department at college of education got a patent entitled ''accelerating the completion of bone implants by using hydroxyapatite that taken from the bones of the Iraqi fish .Hashim said '' the term platinum is the unscientific expression of implants because most of the implants used in orthopedic and dental operations are of titanium and its alloys.''He added ''this scientific field occupies huge numbers of researches to develop it in various ways and to improve the using of the implants instead of broken bones to perform the same function and not to produce corrosive and toxic substance also it must be interconnected quickly with the bones and harmonized with the biological body .He refered ''I used fish bones as a coating for the implants after cleaning and milling it in to parts depending on the nanometer unit using the electrical transition process .He added'' we transplant (150) screw inside the bones of some rabbits to confirm the effectiveness of this method, the excellent result was verified by a microscopic histological examination which was conducted in the college of dentistry at Baghdad University ,the bones completed quickly with a high correlation strength ''.It is worth mentioning that this research owned the award of the day of science in 2014 and published in an international journal with the impact factor 5.4.* |
