| Mahmoud Jasim Muhammad ,a student in microbiology department at college of medicine in Alanbar university got the excellence degree for his MA thesis entitled(A molecular study to differentiate between two types of echinococcosis).The research was discussed in the hall of Dr.Muhammad Hassan Alwan in the university of Almustansiriyah as an alternative place to Alanbar university because of the military operations in the governorate . The research aimed to decide the rampant type of echinococcosis in Alanbar ,the researcher studied the samples of some patients from the age of 10 to 65 with their full information concerning the age ,the sex ,the job ,the exposure changes ,the source of the drinking water ,the infected organ and the history of the disease .The study showed that the higher proportion of infection was in those who were between the age of 21 to 30, and that women were more likely to get the disease than men. Echinococcosis spreaded widly in the countryside ,especially among the farmers who rear cattle and drink directly from the river ,mostly they infected in their liver.The study ended with the result that a specific type of echinococcosis spreaded in Alanbar while there was no infection of the other type .The MA discussion was attended by Dr.Mushtak Talib Salih as the head of the committee ,Sa'ad Mukhlif Aldulaimi and Saleem Aubiad Gata'a ,as the members .The discussion was under the supervisory of Dr.Sarab Fouzi Esma'eel and Muhammad Tafash Daghash .Dr.Hussein Mahmoud Ghazi,the assistant of the administrative affairs of the dean attended the discussion with group of doctors ,lecturers and post-graduate students .* |
