| Dr. Saad Farhan lecturer at college of engineering /department of roads and transportation participated in the 15th International Conference on Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering held in Japan in November 2015 with research entitled (Studies on improvement of properties of gypsies soils). The results of the research show that all employed chemical and natural additives can be used to reduce the collapsible property of gypseous soils, but with different degrees. Using lime reduces the collapsibility of gypseous soils to a small degree compared with calcium chloride and kaolin. Also he participated in the International Conference on Science, Engineering & Environment with the research entitled (The effect of arming the soil basis of paved roads to improve the properties of pavement) .It was considered as one of the pioneer researches in the conference . |
