| Department of Physics at College of Education held a scientific symposium about the credited scientific journals and how to raise the scientific performance of the College .The symposium was organized at the conference hall in the college and was attended by assistant of scientific affairs of president of the university ,Dr. Fawzi al-Hiti, dean of Faculty of Education, Dr. Ahmed Ghudheib and dean assistant for Student Affairs and Registration, Dr. Qasim Khalif and number of college professors .The symposium discussed two themes ,the first one was the sobriety of scientific research and selection of appropriate journals this issue has been discussed by Prof. Dr. Nader Fadel Haboubi as he tackled the meaning of sobriety of the publication, and the things the researcher needed to known before he sent his research for publication and how to choose the appropriate journal to publish the scientific research and what are the criteria that must be presented in the precise journal , as well as clarify the concept of plagiarism and display websites for the purpose of getting benefit from them in identifying plagiarism ratios and the definition of impact factor and what index H means .He confirmed that scientific publishing process is important and necessary and with the same time easy and an entertaining process for the researcher . The second theme was discussed by director of the division of Quality Assurance and University Performance Dr. Bashar al- Makki,as he stressed that the publication of scientific research means thousands of visitors a day checked on the search results.He added that this increased the chance of the spread of information instead of being locked in drawers as the publication of the research increased the scientific value of the biography of the researcher. The dean said "The symposium aims to clarify the mechanisms of publication of scientific research results in publishing houses that adopt scientific standards of specialized scientific periodicals in order to exchange knowledge and results and to continue researches and integrate its results and targets .* |
